All India Consumer Price Index (industrial workers) Base 2001-100 for the month of December 2012 stands as 219 

Therefore, the Central Government employees will have a D.A. hike to the extent of 8% w.e.f. 01.01.2013. The revised D.A w.e.f 01.01.2013 will be 80%. Normally the revised D.A rate will be approved by the cabinet and difference is being paid in the month of April every year.
