All India Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers All India Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) on base 2001=100 for the month of January, 2012 increased by 1 point and stood at 198 (one hundred & ninety eight).


During January, 2012, the index recorded maximum increase of 9 points each in Haldia and Bhilai centres, 7 points  in Jamshedpur centre, 6 points each in Tiruchirapally and Srinagar centres, 5 points  in 2 centres, 4 points in 7 centres, 3 points in 7 centres, 2 points in 11 centres and 1 point in 18 centres. The index decreased by 3 points each in Rangapara Tezpur and Godavarikhani centres, 2 points each in Madurai and Mercara centres, 1 point in 8 centres, while in the remaining 16 centres the index remained stationary.


The maximum increase of 9 points in Haldia and Bhillai centres is mainly on account of Housing Index and increase in the prices of Wheat, Mustard Oil, etc. The increase of 7 points in Jamshedpur centre is mainly due to Housing Index and increase in the prices of Mustard Oil, Goat Meat, Vegetable & Fruit items, Tea (Readymade), Firewood, Soft Coke, Barber Charges, etc. The increase of 6 points in Tiruchirapally and Srinagar centres is mainly on account of Housing Index and increase in the prices of Rice, Wheat Atta, Mustard Oil, Milk, Vegetable & Fruit items, Tea (Readymade), etc. The decrease of 3 points in Rangapara Tezpur and Godavarikhani centres is due to decrease in the prices of Rice, Onion, Chillies Green, Vegetable items, etc. The decrease of 2 points in Madurai and Mercara centres is due to decrease in the prices of Rice, Wheat, Fish Fresh, Poultry (Chicken), Onion, Vegetable & Fruit items, etc.

The indices in respect of the six major centres are as follows :
1. Ahmedabad-192
2. Bangalore-200
3. Chennai-187
4. Delhi-181
5. Kolkata-184
6. Mumbai-199

The point to point rate of inflation based on CPI-IW (General) for the month of January, 2012 is 5.32% as compared to 6.49% in December, 2011. Inflation based on Food Index dipped to the level of 0.49% in January, 2012 as compared to 1.97% in December, 2011.

सर्वाना मराठी भाषा दिनाच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्या. कविश्रेष्ठ कुसुमाग्रज यांच्या जयंतीच्या दिवशी प्रतिवर्षी २७ फेब्रुवारी हा दिवस मराठी भाषा दिन म्हणून साजरा करण्यात येतो .या दिवशी पासून आपण एक संकल्प करू कि मराठी भाषा आणि मराठी माणूस हा जगात आपली कीर्ती गाजवेल आणि या साठी आपण सर्वोतोपरी प्रयत्न करू. ....आपली मराठी भाषा हि जगातील प्रत्येक व्यक्तीच्या तोंडी असावी हि इच्छा प्रत्येकाने मनात बाळगून आपली मराठीचा झेंडा अटकेपार जावा यासाठी प्रयत्न करायला हवेत. तरच खऱ्या अर्थाने आपण मराठी आहोत असा म्हणता येईल.!!!

DEARNESS ALLOWANCE WOULD BE INCREASED BY 7% DUE TO All-India Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers on Base 2001=100 for the Month of December 2011


During December, 2011, the index recorded maximum decrease of 8 points each in Ghaziabad and Jamshedpur centres, 7 points each in Mysore, Bokaro and Ranchi Hatia centres, 6 points  in 3 centres, 5 points in 3 centres, 4 points in 6 centres, 3 points in 11 centres, 2 points in 18 centres and 1 point in 17 centres. The index increased by 6 points in Coonoor centre, 4 points in Chennai centre, 3 points in Mercara centre, 2 points in 3 centres and 1 point in 2 centres, while in the remaining 7 centres the index remained stationary.

The maximum decrease of 8 points in Ghaziabad and Jamshedpur centres is mainly on account of decrease in the prices of Onion, Vegetable & Fruit items, Primary and Middle  School Fee and Books, etc. The decrease of 7 points in Mysore, Bokaro and Ranchi Hatia centres is mainly due to decrease in the prices of Rice Wheat, Onion, Vegetable & Fruit items, Primary and Middle School Fee and Books, Petrol, etc. The increase of 6 points in Coonoor centre is mainly due to increase in the prices of Rice, Maida, Suji, Dairy Milk, Milk (Cow), Tamarind, Tea (Readymade), Sugar, Sweater, Medicine (Allopathic), Medicine (Homeopathic), Bus Fare, Barber Charges, etc. The increase of 4 points in Chennai centre is due to increase in the prices of Dairy Milk, Tea (Readymade), Cigarette, E.S.I. Contribution, Bus Fare, Flower/Flower Garlands, etc.
The indices in respect of the six major centres are as follows :

3. Chennai – 184
4. Delhi - 182 
5. Kolkata – 185
6. Mumbai – 199

The point to point rate of inflation based on CPI-IW(General) for the month of December, 2011 is 6.49% as compared to 9.34% in November, 2011. Inflation based on Food Index dipped to the level of 1.97% in December, 2011 as compared to 7.61% in November, 2011.

All India Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrialworkers on Base 2001=100 for the Month of October, 2011


All India Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) on base 2001=100 for the month of October, 2011 increased by 1 point and stood at 198 (one hundred & ninety eight) .

During October, 2011, the index recorded maximum increase of 8 points in Darjeeling centre, 7 points in Yamunanagar centre, 6 points each in Hyderabad and Tiruchirapally centres, 5 points in 5 centres, 4 points in 7 centres, 3 points in 14 centres, 2 points in 18 centres and 1 point in 19 centres. The index decreased by 3 points in Mysore centre, 2 points each in Ernakulam, Lucknow, Kolkata and Guwahati centres and 1 point in Mundakkayam centre, while in the remaining 5 centres the index remained stationary.

The maximum increase of 8 points in Darjeeling centre is mainly on account of increase in the prices of Masur Dal, Mustard Oil, Garlic, Chillies Green, Vegetable items, Refined Liquor, Firewood, Kerosene Oil, Clothing & Footwear items, etc. The increase of 7 points in Yamunanagar centre is mainly due to increase in the prices of Rice, Wheat Atta, Poultry (Chicken), Fresh Milk, Pure Ghee, Vegetable & Fruit items, Firewood, Barber Charges, etc. The increase of 6 points in Hyderabad centre is due to increase in the prices of Rice, Groundnut Oil, Goat Meat, Poultry (Chicken), Garlic, Tamarind, Vegetable & Fruit items, Tea (Readymade), Electricity Charges, Clothing & Footwear items, Medicine (Allopathic & Homeopathic), Petrol, Washing Soap, Tailoring Charges, etc. The increase of 6 points in Tiruchirapally centre is due to increase in the prices of Rice, Fish Fresh, Garlic, Vegetable & Fruit items, Sugar, Flower/Flower Garlands, etc. The decrease of 3 points in Mysore centre is the outcome of decrease in the prices of Rice, Wheat, Onion, Kerosene Oil, Clothing items, etc. The decrease of 2 points each in Ernakulam, Lucknow, Kolkata and Guwahati centres is due to decrease in the prices of Rice, Wheat, Coconut Oil, Fish Fresh, Sugar, Kerosene oil, etc.

The All-India (General) point to point rate of inflation for the month of October, 2011 is 9.39% as compared to 10.06% in September, 2011. Inflation based on Food Index is 8.72% in October, 2011 as compared to 8.29% in September, 2011.
